Message from Arun Bhaskar
Dear Friends.
I would like to thank all the WIP UK members for supporting the two teams that stood for election. On behalf of WIP and UK section, I want to thank Dalvina, Adnan, Raja Reddy, Arif, Pranab and Cherilyn for stepping up to take the UK Section forward in the future; this also comes with a gentle reminder that our work is just beginning. The responsibility lies with the seven of us to continue engaging with our colleagues not only in the UK, but also across the globe in furthering education and interaction of professionals in the field of pain medicine as envisaged by the founding fathers of the organisation. As many of you know, Adnan, Dalvina and Mohammed have been instrumental in the training of pain intervention for several years in the UK bringing in a wealth of experience and I would request the rest of the WIP UK membership to step up to help and support to maintain the high standards they have achieved.
Needless to say, much of the foundation for this has been laid by senior colleagues like Patrick McGowan, Charles Gauci and Muhammad Ather and we thank them for their effort and also for the continuing advice and support in the future. I would like to specially thank Prof Gabor Racz and Chris Wells for their ever present and unconditional support and words of wisdom on a personal note as well as on behalf of WIP UK. Dianne Willard has always been at hand to support and I would like to thank her for everything she has been doing and I look forward to working closely with her and the WIP executive. Once again many thanks to all of you for your support and I hope you continue to have a great weekend.
Thank you
Kindest regards
Arun
